Free Keiko Guidelines
Generally, as part of the Aikido Iloilo Kenshūsei Program, we offer free keiko to underprivileged students up to college level, who are not yet self-supporting or do not have their own source of income, but are interested to practice the martial art.
In Aikido Iloilo: WVSU (Aiki-West), all WVSU students are automatically eligible for free keiko as part of the our collabration with West Visayas State University Student Organization. Non-WVSU students up to college level who are joining the keiko in Aiki-West, can also avail the Kenshūsei Program benefits, subject to Aikido Iloilo Management review and agreement. Any non-WVSU student who wishes to join the Kenshusei Program in Aiki-West should contact Aikido Iloilo directly for details.
In Aikido Iloilo: Pavia Dojo (currently under construction), upon opening, all underprivileged member students up to college level will be eligible to join the Aikido Iloilo Kenshūsei Program (regardless of which academic school they are studying from), and are therefore eligible to practice for free.
For all other members (private/professional) who are already earning salaries or have sources of income, a mat fee of 100 pesos (published mat fee rate as of 2024) will be collected per keiko session.
Mat fee will also be collected from any other individual who is already a member of other Aikido organization/club (and therefore joining the keiko as a guest), regardless of academic status.
