Kenshūsei  Program

Kenshūsei derives its meaning from three Japanese words: Ken, meaning to purify, Shu, meaning mastery, and Sei, meaning disciple. It implies a person who wants to develop in a certain art or by following a certain way of perfection.

The Aikido Iloilo Kenshūsei Program is a Training Scholarship Initiative aimed at jump starting the awareness, interest and propagation of Aikido in the province by providing free keiko and keikogi to underprivileged students who have the desire to train in the martial art but cannot afford the training fees.

We hope that by giving the young generation the opportunity to discover Aikido, they will benefit from its values, and one day in the future, pay it forward to society.
