By-Laws

The Governing By-Laws of Aikido Iloilo is patterned from the latest Aikikai Foundation International Regulations, to ensure compliance to our parent organization requirements.

Additionally, the Aikido Iloilo By-Laws have been penned to further provide details applicable to our local practice.

Grading System

Aikido Iloilo follows the grading system established by the Aikikai Foundation Hombu Dojo.

Nonetheless, several other exercises are being introduced during the course of the keiko that are not listed in the Aikikai Grading System Table (such as weapons practice, among others) that are designed to augment and enhance the student's understanding of the curriculum techniques.

Etiquette and Conduct

The instructors and members of this organization shall always hold themselves under constant scrutiny for the observance of the organization’s Kieko Etiquette and Code of Conduct. During practice, the instructors’ and members’ conduct, appropriate wearing of keikogi (practice uniform) and care of dojo equipment (particularly the mats) shall set example for other aikidoka to follow and to be reflected in daily life.

Members and Guests

The keiko in Aikido Iloilo is open to both Aikido Iloilo Members and Guests from other organizations. This is in line with one of our primary mission to provide access to consistent and legitimate Aikido practice in the province of Iloilo.
