Members and Guests
Section 1. Definition
The Keiko in Aikido Iloilo is open to the public, for both MEMBERS and GUESTS.
Aikido Iloilo MEMBERS include the following:
Yukyusha Grade students who train with and seek Kyu Grade Certification from Aikido Iloilo.
Ikkyu (kyu rank before black belt) or Yudansha (black belt) students who train with and seek endorsement from Aikido Iloilo for dan grade examination with Aikido Philippines, Inc.
Yudansha Grade students who are included in Aikido Iloilo Instructor Program.
Aikido Iloilo MEMBERS are further Categorized as follows:
Kenshūsei MEMBERS - are underprivileged students up to college levels who have been accepted in the Aikido Iloilo Kenshūsei Program.
Regular MEMBERS (non-Kenshūsei ) - are member students other than Kenshūsei MEMBERS.
Instructor MEMBERS - are Yudansha Grade MEMBER students who have joined the Aikido Iloilo Instructor Program.
GUESTS are students from other Aikido Organizations who are joining the keiko for several purposes (maintenance practice, inter-club event and cross training, etc.) other than certification under Aikido Iloilo.
TRANSFER STUDENTS are those students coming from other organizations who wish to join and continue their kyu grade training/certification with Aikido Iloilo. Once the Validation Process stipulated in Chapter 1, Section 4 of the By-Laws are satisfied, the TRANSFER STUDENT is considered as MEMBER of Aikido Iloilo.
Section 2. Mat Fees
Kenshūsei MEMBERS are granted free keiko in Aikido Iloilo.
A mat fee of 100 PHP (as of 2024) are collected every keiko session from the following:
Regular MEMBERS (non-Kenshūsei ) both kyu and dan grades.
GUESTS
Instructor MEMBERS will have a separate mat fee agreement with Aikdo Iloilo, the provisions of which will be added in future revisions of the Aikdo Iloilo By-Laws.
